Hard to say, maybe nothing. If the battery is completely dead, say if lights were left on all night, you can try making SURE the jumper cables are making good contact, leaving cables hooked up and letting the car giving the jump run for a while (20-30 min), and having someone rev the motor of the car giving the jump when trying to start the dead car.
Also check to make sure the battery cables are hooked up good, nice and tight. If OXIDATION has built up on the inside of the car's battery cable ends or on the battery posts this can prevent the battery from grounding or power from flowing from the battery. You'd need to clean off the oxidation with a wire brush/sandpaper, or scrape it off with a pocket knife.
You could take the battery out, and take it to a garage and try to have it charged overnight. If it works after that but then goes dead again in a day or two its probably got a dead cell, no good any more.
You could take the battery to Advance Auto Parts or a Wal Mart with an auto department, they can check it for free to see if it has a dead cell.
If the battery is good, but still does not charge in the car, then you may have a bad voltage regulator or alternator.
there is probley something wrong with your battery
You need to charge your battery or get a jump. Replace the battery or have it checked because it is dead.
your battery probably died
Inside the alternator
Its likely either the battery connections (terminals) are dirty, or where they connect is...or the battery while showing a charge is bad when on a load. If it starts with a jump from another car...it's the battery.
You may have a dead battery. Get a charge in the battery or get a jump start. Also, if you're in the US most of the major auto parts stores (for example, Advanced Auto Parts) will test the battery for free. Check the earth connections between the battery & the chassis also between the chassis and the engine
Either a discharged battery or a corroded battery terminal. The battery could be discharged because the alternator isn't working.
The charger might have something wrong with it. Or the battery is shot. Go to the shop where you got your phone and show them your charger and battery see what they say.
"The only time the charge battery light goes off is when you press the gas" is the classic symptom of a loose or very well worn belt.
No. A battery that will not take a charge has a dead cell. It cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
