Not neccesarily. Check your video card first. You may have a loose connection on either end of your monitor cable. You could also try to see if you have any dust in the connectors. If so, CAREFULLY clean the connector(s) out by GENTLY blowing the dust away. If this problem isn't resolved, try a new graphics card. It will be a lot cheaper than a new monitor. You may also want to check your settings on your monitor. Even though it is highly unlikely, something could have gotten changed...If all else fails, but another monitor.
