If your keys are locked in a 1998 Chevy Cavalier how do you unlock it?

** Theftlock Bypass

1. Press and hold presets 2 & 3 for about 10 seconds until the first 3 digits of the display code are displayed.

2. Write the numbers down.

3. Press the AM/FM button, write down the next 3 numbers.

4. Call 1-800-537-5140, when asked, enter 620529, press the # button and enter the 6 digit code from the radio, you will get an unlock code, write it down.

5. Go back to the car, press the HR button and set the first 2 numbers, then press minute button and set the next two last numbers, press AM/FM button, SEC should be displayed, turn on radio.

To remove customers code, repeat step 5. you should see --- on radio face, the code is now out of the radio.

nswerit depends on what u'r willin to do to the door and how much skill u have. u can pry the top of the door and pull it out far enough to stick something about the thickness of a hammer handle and us a coat hanger to pull the lock mechanism out. this will kinda bend ur door out and you will notice a whistle while ur driving but this can be fixed by putting a 2x4 in the door jam about door handle height and press on the top of the door until it seals at the top when u close the door with out the 2x4 in the door.

If you have power locks, you can stick the antenna in through the back door (easiest to do) and it's stiff enough that when you get the ball in the pocket that if you press straight down to bend the antenna it will flip it open. Good luck!

Because i have a '91 Cavalier four door & the back seats fold down, I replaced the pop rivet to keep the trunk lock on with a screw & I take off the truck lock & enter through my trunk & save myself $180 plus for my stupidity per locksmith visit.
