1.) Watch your calories. It depends on how active you are, but for weight loss, you should eat around 1,500 calories a day. Make sure you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, too. Also space out your meals every 2-5 hours. This will make your metabolism shoot up, and allow your body to burn fat much more easily than if you barely ate a thing all day. Another thing: make sure to splurge on junk food every now and then. You're still a kid; you should have fun eating junk food sometimes!
2.) Exercise 30-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week. You don't have to go run a marathon, but just have fun! Go outside, play a sport, or something!
That's ALL you have to do. Just be patient with it. Good luck!
* A great way to do so is to swim you don't really feel like you are working out because you are too busy having fun. However, it will help you lose weight. * Do cardio exercise and in addition eliminate refined (processed) carbohydrates from your diet. For more information about how to do this, see the page links, further down this page, listed under Related Questions. Those pages will help to guide you through a program of dietary changes and exercise that can work well for you. Print the pages out if you wish to and use them for future reference. If you cannot find all the information you need through those pages, please feel free to ask further questions. Before you make any dietary or exercise changes, first seek the approval of your physician/doctor and get the support of your family if possible.
Eat little and often, You don't have to stop eating all the things you like, just minimise the amount of junk food you eat and increase the amount of fruit and veg. If you're eating salads a lot and still feel hungry try rice, pasta and potatoes as these are also healthy but fill you up and most importantly remember to excersise. Its also better to have a good breakfast as you have all day to work it off, and try not to eat after 6pm
Cut out white food anything with sugar, no soda pop. Eat lean proteins and start them on a cardio routine

EXAMPLES IF YOU NOW WEIGH-- 210 POUNDS YOU ARE 25% of the way to your goal. 205 POUNDS YOU ARE AT 37.5% 200 POUNDS YOU ARE AT 50% 190 POUNDS YOU ARE AT 75% If you wanted to calculate how much of your total body weight you've lost, then take your staring weight (220), subtract your current weight (220-205=15). Take that number and divide by your starting weight. (15/220=.068) In this case, you've lost 6.8% of your body weight and you want to lose 18.2% of your body weight.
