It is not safe to take NyQuil while also taking Adderall, Klonopin, Lexapro, and Percocet, as it can cause seizures and other serious side effects.
Can taking lexapro at 5mg at night for only 2 days then stopping due to increased anxiety and waking up in middle of the night even though taking 05 mg of klonopin produce further anxiety. suggestions?
Sometimes SSRIs like Lexapro and benzodiazepines like Klonopin need to be adjusted, or you need to just find a different medication that doesn't cause bad side effects. For example, to replace the Lexapro, there are drugs such as Prozac and Zoloft, and to replace the Klonopin (if you think that is causing you more side effects) there are drugs such as Ativan and Xanax. Xanax can be prescribed by your doctor alongside lexapro and taking them at the same time is okay. I am on Lexapro and take Xanex for occasional bouts of anxiety or panic attacks. However, weening yourself off Lexapro with Xanex is probably not the best idea. If you are having withdrawal from Lexapro you should probably go back on it.

Lexapro is supposed to aid you in feeling less anxious, so if you feel more anxious when lowering dosage, even slightly, you may want to discuss that with your doctor, and if it persists he or she will most likely increase your dosage back to 20 mgs.

I did and ended it with having my gallbladder removed and weaning off Lexapro in one week. My first problems with my gallbladder arose a couple of months into taking Lexapro for the first time years before. I stopped and then I had a pregnancy and about 5 year with no lexapro. When I had a traumatic family sitiuation I tried Lexapro again and again a couple of months into it I started to have gallbladder attacks. I took one lexapro after my surgery and it made me so sick I have vowed to never touch it again. It sucked because it really did great for my anxiety.

I have been off Lexapro for about five months now. I had a few of the more documented side effects from stopping this drig. About 3 weeks after stopping back in March, I started getting hive attacks. My doctor was sympathetic and gave me an antihistamine perscription. I have to take it every couple of days or so to keep the attacks from coming back. I missed about a week of the antihistamine earlier this month. I woke up in the middle of the night with about half of my skin needing to be peeled off due to the hives and itching. I took the antihistamine and it went away in about an hour. I never experienced hives or any skin condition prior to the Lexapro that cause this kind of itching. I am convinced that there was some physiological or neurological damage induced by the drug.

Hi, About a month and a half ago, my doctor started me on lexapro 5mg in the morning for 6 days then up to 10mg a day. A few days after starting on the 5mg dose in the morning I started taking 15mg Serapax (Alepam) 1-3 tablets a day for anxiety. (The reason I started was because of I was majorly stressed about work issues and had major anxiety). Just after getting up to the 10mg Lexapro, I saw a psychiatrist as I was still really anxious. He told me to keep taking the 10mg of Lexapro in the morning and also the take amitriptyline 25mg 1 hour before bed (to help me sleep), then take 15mg of Alepam at time of going to sleep or whenever I had panic attacks throughout the day. The next morning I took 10mg of lexapro after starting the amitriptyline the night before. It was horrible! I felt so weird and spaced out. I thought I was loosing my mind. I was about to pack my bags to go to the nearest pysch ward! I called the psychiatrist and went and saw my doctor as I felt that strange, not right at all. I have been going through hell the last two weeks on this cocktail of drugs. I really think the combination of the lexapro and amitriptyline does not work. Please let me know how you are going as I feel so alone and scared right now. Amber
