Wow, I wish I knew. I'm on my second month of NuvaRing; the first time I took it out on a Sunday (I have my period every 25 days or so, or did pre-ring) and didn't start until Wednesday. This second cycle, I started my period on a Wednesday or Thursday of the third week of having the ring in, though I'm not due to take the ring out for four more days. Like you, I'd really like to know what it means that I'm bleeding while the ring is in. I mean, it's nothing like my previous periods, which were very heavy and painful, but it's more than spotting. What does it mean, does it still work as Birth Control, is it safe...? I'll call my gyn on Monday morning and would gently suggest you do the same. I'll pass on whatever she tells me, but every case is different, and it's best to talk to someone who knows you and your body. Take care and good luck.
Your period hasn't finished yet.
It's normal. You can continue bleeding up to a week after your period.
Yes, you can bleed a couple of days after your period or at any point in your menstrual cycle. The bleeding may be the end of your period or may be due to something else such as ovulation bleeding.
