How regenerative repeater work in pulse code modulation?

Regenerative Repeater is used for the PCM (Pulse code modulation ) it amplifies the signal because the effect of the channel over the signal .

Compare pulse code modulation and delta modulation?

delta modulation refers to the procedure of encoding and thereby transmitting only the difference between consecutive samples instead of sending each of the samples themselves. This method is useful only when the vaiation in the amplitude of the signal is small, otherwise, it leads to a phenomenon called "slope overload".Pulse code modulation is the procedure where each of the levels of an analog signal is assigned a value closest ro a quantizer level used to quantize the signal...Another method of PCM that can be confused with Delta Modulation is the D(ifferential)PCM. Here, the difference between the signals is encoded based on its magnitude..

What is the second step in the pulse code modulation process?

digital converter extracts samples of analog signal from input siganl digital converter quantizes analog sample and assignes a binary numbervalue to it digital coanverter encodes a quantized analog signal to transmit it across a digital network

You keep getting a tp throttle position circuit voltage to low and a tp circuit voltage too high code replaced tp sensor checked voltage at pcm and it all seems to be fine?

Just because you get a good voltage reading at the PCM, and are still getting that OBD II code, doesn't necessarily mean that the TPS is still bad. The Signal wire running from the TPS to the PCM is a straight shot, but the ground wire and the reference wire have a few splices in between the TPS and the PCM. Make sure to check the voltage at all those different spots. If you get a good reading on the voltage at all the different points on those wires, then it could be that you just bought a bad TPS. One way to check, it to take the TPS off, but leave it connected to the wiring harness. With the voltmeter leads on the ground wire and the signal wire, and the key in the ignition and turned to the on position (engine still off), manually manipulate the rotating slot and you should see a nice gradual increase in voltage. If not then that's a bad TPS. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between pulse code and pulse amplitude in brief and concise terms?

In pulse amplitude modulation (PAM), you send a single pulse of a certain height (amplitude) that represents the value of the sampled signal at that time. With pulse code modulation (PCM), you take the same sampled value, but now represent that value by N bits, where N is the number of quantized regions. Why send a whole bunch of bits instead of just a single pulse? Because PCM performs better in situations of higher noise (AWGN).

What is the knock sensors function?

Knock sensors detect abnormal vibrations in the engine. The system is designed to reduce spark knock during periods of heavy detonation. Knock sensors produce AC output voltage which increases with the severity of the knock. The signal is fed into the PCM and the timing is retarded to compensate for the severe detonation.

What are the relevant inputs to the PCM module for the fuel pump relay feed output?

When the ignition is place in the momentary start position, a signal is sent to the PCM and in turn it turns the fuel pump relay on.

What is the fuel injector solenoid energized by?

Fuel injector is energize by signal composed of pulsed voltage frequency increases as with rpm set by pcm

How does the overdrive button work on a dodge truck 1999?

When you push the button in, a signal is sent to the PCM to "block" overdrive. When you push the button in, a signal is sent to the PCM to "block" overdrive.

What do you check if no power on ac comp?

The AC compressor is belt driven. There is an electric clutch that engages the belt drive to the compressor. The circuit for the clutch is driven by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), which might feed to a relay used to drive the clutch. The PCM receives a start signal from the dashboard control knob or switch. There may also be a refrigerant pressure sensor that can moderate the output of the PCM to the AC clutch signal.

Where is the Ignition Diagnostic Monitor on a 1995 F-350?

The Ignition Diagnostic Monitor (IDM) information is sent from the Ignition Control Module (ICM) to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM computer). The PCM monitors this information to check on the Ignition System. The ICM is Black in color in 1994 and newer Ford Trucks. Do not use a Gray module as it will cause the PCM to output a code of a missing IDM signal. Auto Part stores have the wrong part listed for these trucks.

How to make it Using the Matlab?

Problem 1 Generate a sinusoidal signal with amplitude 1, and w = 1. Using a uniform PCM scheme, quantize it once to 8 levels and once to 16 levels. Plot the original signal and quantized signal on the same axis. Compare the resulting SQNRs in the two cases. Choose the signal to be 10 second. Problem 2 The periodic signal x(t) has a period of 2 and interval [0,2] is defined as x(t) = t ---------- 0 ≤ t < 1 = -t + 2 --- 1 ≤ t < 2 · Design an 8 bit-level uniform PCM quntizer for this signal and plot the qunatized output of this system. · Plot the qunatization error for this system · By calculating the power in the wrror signal, determine the SQNR for this system in decibels. Problem 3 Write an M-file to do PWM to PPM! You can also do a simulink scheme. Use proper input signal. And verify your answer with analytical approach. Also introduce an AWGN to the signal and recover it back to the original signal.

How do you override the anti-theft system on a 1996 Ford Mustang?

If you are talikng about the PATS(passive Anti-Theft System), you don't. That system is intregrated into the vehicle's computer system. When you start the car, the PCM looks for the PATS module that reads the chip inside the key, to either give the okie dokie, or saying "no-go," and the PCM takes appropriate action. If there is a problem with it, I am afraid you are stuck repairing it, or switching out the PCM for one that is not equipped with PATS, and therefore doesn't look for a PATS module signal.

When 1991 Cherokee cuts out there is no spark no fuel?

Spark and fuel are controlled by the PCM (Power Control Module), the PCM grounds the ASD relay (Auto Shut Down) which in turns sends power to the ignition coil and to the fuel injectors, the injectors open upon receiving a ground signal from the PCM as well as the ignition coil fires a spark when it gets the ground signal from the PCM, now none of this will happen if the PCM does not get a signal from the CKPS (crank position sensor) this sensor tells the computer the engine is spinning as well as where is the piston located at that instant of time in order for the PCM to give the ground signal to the coil fuel injector or the ASD which gives the juice to those components. This sensor is located in the rear of the engine is a 3 wire plug and it sends its signal from the presence of windows in the flywheel.
