Based on comments made by Chris Yates in Dorset magazine a couple of years ago, and crossed with other information from people online, it is almost certainly at Wimborne St Giles, in Dorset UK.
The lake in this Google link is 7acres in size, just like Yates said it was in the program, and you can see from its shape and the distinct features of the river that flows in and out of it with the sluice etc that its pretty unlikely not to be the lake. There is also evidence online about the lakes history detailing its creating in 1800's, which means it is matching at age too. I doubt Chris Yates will ever formally confirm the location by name, but his description in the Dorset magazine pretty much does that anyway.
