In Super Mario Galaxy how do you find the green stars?

They allow you to travel to the "trial galaxies"- three challenging hidden galaxies that each have 1 power star-when you gather all 3.

The first can be found in battlerock galaxy, when luigi gives you an email saying he is trapped. The second can be found in dust dunes galaxy. The third is in bouy base galaxy. I wish I knew where they were but I'm to specific, i coukldnt tell.

The Battlerock Galaxy, The Buoy Base galaxy, and the Dusty Dunes Galaxy.

To get the Battlerock Galaxy, you must go to the 1st level and at the end where the bullet bills are, go to the star, but don't use the bill on it, go underneath to find Luigi and blow up the cage to get the 1st green star.

For the 2nd one, you must go in the water and use a bullet bill to blow up a cage with a pipe inside, or if you find a pipe in the water just go in it. Then, once at the top, you will be shot at by a lot of bullet bills. In the middle, yes the 2nd green star. Just one more to go! =D

For the 3rd one, when you go to the small round circle with the boulders, star power, and the +3 health mushroom underneath the platform you land on, (with 2 coins in ice), is a luma. You need to feed it 30 star bits. If you don't have enough, go to the little platform and go underneath it to find a star power. Use this and blow up the boulders for star bits, (run into them). Now feed the hungry luma and you will find a really big pyramid. Don't worry, you don't have to solve how to get in. You are blasted into a pipe. Once inside, you must get the 5 silver stars. Step on the red tiles to move the sand up. BEWARE, there are obstacles and you can die without being careful. And after that, the sand will drain out and you can get the FINAL green star. =D

#1: The star you get after you save Luigi at the Battlerock Galaxy is the first.

#2: Break a caged pipe at the bottom of the Buoy Base Galaxy with the blue Bullet Bills. This will lead to an area with a more of Bullet Bills. Lure one to the cage that the star is in to get the second.

#3: At the Dusty Dune Galaxy, feed the Hungry Luma under the planet with the boulders. After you feed it, complete the Silver Stars mission to get the last Green Power Star.

For example, the second mission; find a Bee Mushroom to turn into a bee and fly up to the place behind the waterfall with the giant honeycomb. Talk to the queen bee and do as she says to get the Power Star.

Battlerock Galaxy:

After completing Luigi in the Haunted Mansion in the Ghostly Galaxy, after a few missions you will receive a letter that needs help in the Good Egg Galaxy. This is were the Gree Star adventure begins. Get to the roof on the top of the Mushroom House in the beginning of the level. (via orange warp pipe or triple jump) He will give you a star. Soon after, you will receive a letter that Luigi is lost in the Battlerock Galaxy.

Select the mission "Battlerock Barrage" once it is already complete. You should notice a talk bubble with a ? in it above the mission-select star. Trek the level normally until reaching the end. Instead of getting a homing bill to smash into the cage with the star, go under the saucer-platform so the Bullet Bill will smash into a different glass cage, with Luigi inside. He will thank you and give you a Green Star.

Bouy Base Galaxy:

Under the water, before detroying the weight, have the Torpedo Ted chase you until you see a small glass cage. Go ner the cage and get the Torpedo Ted to crash into it, revealing a warp pipe. Get sucked in, to appear on a different, thon platform. Get chased by a bullet bill through the area. You will soon see another glass cage. Get the Bullet Bill to follow you there until it breaks the cage, revealing the next Green Star.

Dusty Dune Galaxy:

Select the mission "Blasting Through the Sand" Collect as many Star Bits as possible until you reach the ring area with bolders. One of the near sand-platforms with have a Hungry Luma. Feed him 20 Star Bits and a Pyramid Planet will appear. Use the launch star to enter a puzzling area with 5 silver stars. Go from section to section until you get each Silver Star, which will reveal the Green Star. You will fall to the bottom and grab the Green Star.

Go to ghostly galaxy in the kitchen and do the first episode. Save Luigi, and he'll help find a couple in some galaxies. After a bit, you have to find them on your own. Just search for them in the episodes with a ? over the star in episode select.
