In the United States, the continental divide is located through the Rocky Mountains.
The Continental Divide is the watershed. east of the Divide rivers flow east, south or north. West of the Divide, rivers flow west, north and south. The Continental Divide is the Rockie Mountains.
The "Continental Divide"separates the Atlantic and Pacific watersheds. The continental divide (on any continent) is the place where rain falling on one side would go to the ocean on one side (the Pacific Ocean in the case of North America) and rain on the other side would eventually make its way to the other side of the continent (the Atlantic ocean). Canada has a somewhat unique continental divide, as water has three destinations: the Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Arctic oceans. There are actually six continental divides in North America.
The the Rocky Mountains are in the United States on the North American continent. If you live in Europe, the continent that the Rocky Mountains are on would be called the continent of America.
It refers to the states in the United States which are located physically on the continent of North America. Hawaii would be the main exception.
In the United States, the continental divide is located through the Rocky Mountains.
The Continental Divide is located along the summit of the Rocky Mountains. In the United States, it passes through Montana, part of Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico.

The RockiesMore specifically, the Western Continental Divide or the "Great Divide", the 'line' which marks where rainfall flows either ultimately toward the Pacific Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico, runs through the states of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico, predominately in the Rocky Mountains. There is also an Eastern Continental Divide among others - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:NorthAmericaDivides.gifThe Rocky Mountains.
The American Continental Divide is the Rocky Mountains. Any rain falling west of them or on the northern side of them eventually goes into the Pacific OCean bu the Colorado, Colombia, American, Sacramento, Snake, San Jauquine and other Rivers...anything to the east flows into the Atlantic and the Gulf of MExico via the Rio Grande, Mississippi-Missouri, Ohio, Hudson, Delaware, Potomac, and other rivers.
The Continental Divide is in the Western United States.
The Continental Divide is the watershed. east of the Divide rivers flow east, south or north. West of the Divide, rivers flow west, north and south. The Continental Divide is the Rockie Mountains.
The continental divide is not in any single state. It is a line rather than a point. In the United States it runs south from Montana, along part of the Idaho-Montana state line and then through Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. The continental divide is basically the Rocky Mountains running through many states, not just oneMontana
The United Kingdom has lots of mountains in it. It is not itself located in mountains.
The Continental Divide runs from the top of North America down to the southern most tip of South America. The Continental Divide splits North America and runs down the western side of South America.
The Continental Divide separates the watershed of the Pacific, Arctic, and Atlantic oceans meaning that drainage down the east of the mountain range will go into the Atlantic, while westward drainage will flow into the Pacific. The Continental Divide in the United States is located in the Rocky Mountain Range.
