If you were to make a clay pot then three things must happen. The first is that you would have to have the will to make it. The second is that you would need to know how to make it and the third is that your hands would have to actually do the work so in the same way Jesus created everything with the Father willing it and created everything in the way it exists from the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. God is infinitely simple to the point of love itself. God calls himself I AM meaning HE DOES.

Because God the Father was indeed the Creator. However, Christians believe that at Creation Jesus and the Holy Spirit were also responsible as they were there as part of the Holy Trinity. John refers to Jesus in John 1 as "the Word of God" (".... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us... and we beheld His glory... of the only begotten Son of the Father"). This Word is also involved in Creation as the Word of God: * And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. (Gen 1:3) * And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." (Gen 1:6) * And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, (Gen 1:9) * Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds."(Gen 1:11)... and so on. In a similar way the Holy Spirit was also present at Creation: * "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. (Gen 1: 2) ... as just one example. So scripture confirms the presence of God the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit all at Creation. Contrary to your question, the Creeds, however, do not say that God the Father is the Creator alone (despite what some sects like Jehovah's Witnesses will tell you). In the Nicene Creed it clearly states that the Holy Spirit is Lord (and therefore worshipped as God) and is the creator (giver) of life. Along with both God the Father and Jesus (God the Son), the Holy Spirit (as God and Lord) were involved in Creation: Extract from the Nicene Creed: "We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made;..... ......And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceedeth from the Father, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spake by the prophets." In the Apostle's Creed much doctrine (not just the doctrine of this question) is omitted, as this creed is a bare-bones doctrinal summary, but this does not mean that just because it is not there it must be incorrect. In the Athanasian Creed, there are no specific mentions of Jesus as Creator - but neither is there a mention of the Father as a Creator either. This Creed is concerned with the Trinity more and in that it is clear that Jesus, The Holy Spirit and God the Father are all to be worshipped as God, and are equal. Extract from the Athanasian creed: "...we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; Neither confounding the persons nor dividing the substance. For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is all one, the glory equal, the majesty coeternal. Such as the Father is, such is the Son, and such is the Holy Spirit. The Father uncreated, the Son uncreated, and the Holy Spirit uncreated. The Father incomprehensible, the Son incomprehensible, and the Holy Spirit incomprehensible. The Father eternal, the Son eternal, and the Holy Spirit eternal. And yet they are not three eternals but one eternal. As also there are not three uncreated nor three incomprehensible, but one uncreated and one incomprehensible. So likewise the Father is almighty, the Son almighty, and the Holy Spirit almighty. And yet they are not three almighties, but one almighty. So the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God; And yet they are not three Gods, but one God. So likewise the Father is Lord, the Son Lord, and the Holy Spirit Lord; And yet they are not three Lords but one Lord. For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord; So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say; There are three Gods or three Lords. The Father is made of none, neither created nor begotten. The Son is of the Father alone; not made nor created, but begotten. The Holy Spirit is of the Father and of the Son; neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding. So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons; one Holy Spirit, not three Holy Spirits. And in this Trinity none is afore or after another; none is greater or less than another. But the whole three persons are coeternal, and coequal. So that in all things, as aforesaid, the Unity in Trinity and the Trinity in Unity is to be worshipped. " As the Apostle John knew the Old Testament well, he did not write anything that contravened it - on the contrary. He made clear what was truth all along, but which many Jews of that time chose to ignore. Colossians 1:14-17 indicate that the Savior, Jesus Christ, is eternal God who created all things for His glory and holds them all in control of His will. This perfectly coordinates with John 1:1-3, where it states that the Word was God. Verse 14 says: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us...", thus it is clearly Jesus Christ. Back in verse 3, it tells us: "All things were made by Him; and without Him was not ant thing made that was made."

Whereas Genesis 1:26 states: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness...", the Trinity is involved in the creation of all things. The name Elohim is in a plural form. Jesus Christ was there along with the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:2) and God the Father, creating the heaven and the earth and all that is in them. All are one God.

The Trinity is not easy to understand, yet the Scriptures clearly and consistently demonstrate the existence of the three as one true God. We, as made in the image of God, have a recognizable physical body, a mind that's unique and a soul or spirit that is identifiable as an individual.

Jesus had said: "I and the Father are one." and: "He who has seen me has seen the Father." Jesus is the manifestation of the Father in the flesh. Isaiah 9:6 indicates that the child's name that was to be born, which is obviously Jesus, was amongst other names, "The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father."

Creeds rise or fall on the accuracy of representing the truth of the Scriptures. However, the Nicene Creed does indicate that through "one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God...all things were made [both in heaven and on earth]."
