the book explains in more relevant detail the classical story of Beowulf. The scriptwriters of Beowulf the movie made a good attempt at keeping the movie classical all the while not understanding that it went from a classical epic novel in to your average Hollywood production. The scenes of near nudity where very innapropriate. In the book it explaines grendal as more of a monstorous killer who is like a thief in the night and slaughters soldiers like its nothing.
