In my opinion just leave the ceiling white. If you paint it the same color as the walls it makes that space seem smaller or enclosed like a box.
The ceiling adapter is white but simulates wood. Can be painted over to any color desired.
wall color
If it is a light color I would think it would look OK, but it will make your room look smaller. How about one wall in a dark color and a contrasting color on the walls. Make a stencil and put clouds on the ceiling. I did this in my kitchen.
What colour should a basketball hoop be painted?
I would paint the ceiling white, especially since the bathroom is small. If you are using a deep red color, it could make the bathroom appear even smaller, and painting the ceiling red could make you feel boxed in. A while ceiling will help to create a more open feeling.
A downfall of having a black ceiling fan would be it the room was a color that didn't match with black. For example if you had a girls room and the room was painted pink but the ceiling fan was black then it would not go very well with the room.

white
Even if the ceiling is a cathedral, it is rarely the only point of interest in a room. Look the room over carefully, pick your focal wall from the architecture. A fireplace built in book shelves, or windows with a spectacular view should enter into the equation. If there are no architectural features, decide your furniture placement and pick you accent wall from that.
Yes, you can have it painted the same, but I also have seen it wallpapered in a color that brings out plates on the rail.
No, they don't. A white primer will simply give whatever color you paint your walls a more pure hue. No. You can paint them any color you like.
