And for the same reason every year there is a fate organized on river ganga known as KUMBH MELA and in which over 5 million Hindu take part and take bath at its bank in a period of month every day 100 thousad of people come to HARIDWAR the holiest city in India and where kumbh mela take place.

Ganga is also important for Indian as it nourish allmost 40% of total population of India
