Those Poles joined the Allies to defeat the Nazis. Many Poles left in Poland started up the Underground Resistance. The Poles who escaped manage to inform the French and British about the atrocities the Nazis were doing in Poland. They told them that most of the remaining Poles were made to do slave labor or else they would be shot.
