Both were fascist dictators. Italy and Germany were both very heavily armed countries, due to their rulers' ambitions. Both rulers died in 1945, in WWII, a conflict that they were part of. Both looked to have an overseas Empire, possibly in Africa or Russia. Both hated communism.
