First thing is add/ check trans fluid. No dip stick, there is two drain plugs on trans oil pan. Get a squirt hand pump oil can and hose and pump fluid into upper plug hole with engine running till over flowing then shut off and put plug back in after it stops dripping. See if that fixs it before you put big money into to it.
The VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is probably bad. Also check the fuses.
