Most of the problems were caused by the sudden and unplanned withdrawl of british from the subcontinent. The major problems were the splitting up of Pakistan in two pieces with the hostile territory of India between them. Also problematic was the lack of trained soldiers and officers. India also took control of Central Bank and did not pay Pakistan its due share of money. There was a lack of trained officials and of seasoned politicians.
