background/histor of lihgt alarm
uses of power failure alarm
Use an intermediary relay that is specifically and only connected to a circuit from a two pole breaker in the distribution panel. Through the N.C. contact of the relay connect your DC alarm system. As long as the power is on the relay stays energized and the N.C. contacts stay open. If a power failure occurs the relay will drop out and close the N.C. contacts. This will close the circuit on the alarm system.
To be an alarm tech, you must know various amounts of social sciences, as well as engineering. These are crucial to be a well renowned alarm technician.
discrete because the signal of an alarm is periodic.
Don't know about a ready made device, but, it can be easily done. All you need is a relay, the coil of which is fed from the same power supply as the refrigerator outlet. Take a feed from a different circuit than that of the refrigerator outlet (eg a fed from a lighting circuit) and wire that through the Normally Open contact of the relay and then on to a simple sounder or alarm or electric bell etc, or even a warning light. An electrican could easily whip something like this up, i would think for minimal cost. Or if your keen u could do it yourself.Another answerJust Google "refrigerator alarm" and you should get some good results. Refrigerator alarms are available from as low as $9.99

Power supplies don't fail. Idiot.
Yes, as long as there is enough typical/backup/standby power for both.
It would depend on the alarm, a steady alarm indicates an engine over heat. If the engine alarm is a series of beeps, this would indicate an oil pump / supply failure.
Since this is not OEM equipment, the answer can vary based on which backup alarm was installed. If the connections at the backup alarm are a ring terminal held in place with a nut and lock washer, you simply disconnect the ground.
None normally. You may find battery backup on things like alarm systems. Your telephone, if it isn't one with a local power supply, is powered by the telephone company and that uses DC supply.
Where is back up alarm located
The switches to activate the backup alarm are usually placed within the transmission. If you don't feel like going through this hassle, you can connect the positive wire for the backup alarm to the circuit which activates the backup lights, or you can put a manual switch in the cab to work the backup alarm.
yes u can.
In the alarm panel box or an auxiliary box nearby.
Because you haven't diagnosed it to determine what repair needs to be made. Either it's not getting power, it's not grounded, or the backup alarm itself is toast.
