When your looking for a good gaming laptop there are a lot of things to consider besides gigahertz. You should look at what type of graphics card the laptop has, as well as the ram and motherboard. These things are equally important. As far as gigahertz goes I think that a 2.2 to 2.6 GHz is about the minimum you can go, but to really enjoy most games I have found that a 3.1 to 3.3 GHz really makes a big difference. My gaming laptop has a 3rd generation Intel core 3.3 GHz processor and it runs like a dream for games like World of Warcraft and Skyrim. My name is David and I work with Dell
I would say that for the average person give or take 2 gigahertz, anything over 2.5 GHz is probably too much. I have a Lenovo laptop with a 2 GHz processor and it is quick!
The Asus Eee PC 1000HE Intel Atom N280 1.66 GHz Laptop weighs 3.2 pounds.
A lot of them but mostly core 2 duo and up.
