Yes very normal
Yes.
It is your systolic blood pressure over diastolic blood pressure.Systolic is the peak pressure in the arteries when they are contracting.Diastolic is the minimum pressure when the ventricles are filled with blood.
A BP of 124/72 is a very good BP for a 49 year old woman. It is neither hyper- nor hypotensive.
The higher number (your systolic pressure) is fine, however the lower number (diastolic) is a bit low. this can be a side effect of drugs for example. If you are not suffering from any symptoms then it may just be normal for you. At your age however, you should have a check up to ensure that there is nothing causing this. You can read more about normal blood pressure and what it means at the link below.
Blood pressure reading: Systolic 124, diastolic 53, pulse 61 -- your opinion?
It depends what you mean. as a blood pressure - it's low. As a fraction - it can be simplified to 32/3
Its fine ive just checked mine and it is 124 over 89 wich shows in the green
Normal blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg . The ranges being 90-140mmHg systolic(top number)(peak heart contraction pressure) and 60-90 diastolic (botom number)(heart relaxed pressure). A persistently high blood pressure over 140/90 is diagnosed as Hypertension. The two numbers indicate your systolic and diastolic pressure. Systolic (the first number) indicates the pressure exerted when your heart contracts to pump out blood. Diastolic (second number) indicates the pressure exerted when your heart muscles relax. Normal blood pressure is 120/ 80 mm Hg. But everyone knows that pressure does not remain at that normal level throughout the day. It can go high or low depending on many factors such as activity, stress, after meals, etc. Normal fluctuations for systolic pressure range from 100 to 140 and for diastolic from 60 to 90. You should check with a doctor about your diastolic pressure since it is close to being below normal range. Ask your doctor whether it is advisable to take blood pressure supplements like Blood Pressure Matrix which consist of a blend of nutrients like Vitamin D, Folic acid, Potassium citrate, hawthorn leaves, taurine and natto-kinase. These nutritionally support the body's natural ability to regulate normal blood pressure.
It is a little high but they won't put you on medication. Some exercise would most likely lower this.It is normal for your blood pressure to rise as you get older. This is due to you not being able to do some of the things you could do when you were younger. And to normal body changes and metabolism.
It's relatively healthy, dependind on your age and weight.Another answer:A systolic number of 124 is in the good range; that 97 is well into the high range. One reading isn't enough to identify a problem, but if those numbers are your average, resting blood pressure and remain consistent over time, you would be doing yourself a favor to consult your doctor - even though you might "feel fine."Without proper diagnosis and treatment, hypertension can contribute to life-threatening conditions such as heart disease and stroke, and can be aggravated to dangerous levels by any number of common OTC medications, especially those containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine.
124
A good fasting number should be less than 110, so yours looks a little high.
