yes i bought mine for 2500 and the head gasket blew the rotors were shot and the repair have cost me over 4000 in 6 months I got my 2000 stratus in 02 with 25000 miles on it for $1,800. It was missing a bumper and had a dented hood, but after purchasing after market parts worth about 350 total, I had a practically brand new stratus. It all depends on what you need it for. If its something your gonna depend on for your daily grind, I would pass. If its for your 15 year old son learning to drive, go for it!!
