One may use Cat5e network cable in bulk to connect to the internet or ethernet. Large amounts of cable may be used in a business or office setting to improve signals and connections.
Effective for what? It's a decent 100 megabit ethernet cable; but it makes a lousy tow rope.
Ethernet cables are made from cat5e cable. This cable is designed for carrying signals and is commonly used in networking. It is made up of several multicolored wires which carry the signal. This cable must have Ethernet Connectors on both end to enable to to be plugged into a router or modem.
Any of our 50ft Cat5e Ethernet Patch cables will work great.

The ethernet cable needs to be connected to a router or modem and it works fine although I chose to purchase the CAT 6 ethernet cable. The speed test for the internet connection is faster with the ethernet connection than with the WiFi connection and I have never lost a connection like I did with WiFi
10BASE-T can use CAT3 cabling or better, while 100BASE-T requires CAT5 or better (such as CAT5e or CAT6).
A cat5e should work up to 1 gig. Cat6 is optimal but more expensive and harder to wire.
100 meters per segment.
An Ethernet cable Computers are networked with network cables (ethernet cables as stated above), also know by their rating, cat5 cat5e cat6 etc. A network cable runs from a computer to a switch, which is like a busy junction that co-ordinates data traffic between machines.
