10W30, 10W40 and in the summer time 20W50 is okay. That engine does not have a roller valve train in it. So these weights of oil will not hurt it. Just be sure to use a a/c delco oil filter every time.
5W30 is not only okay, it is recommended.
The gear box has gone bad.
Brake light switch ?
The brake lights are a separate circuit from the tail lights. If the bulbs and fuse checks okay, I would suspect the brake light switch is at fault.
Check the cable, it gets broken especially in the places where you can see it or at its movable parts.
Only people who suck on William Powis will ask this! okay?

The switch could be bad at the passenger seat. The switch could be bad at the passenger seat.
it's need a tune up.....
Disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple of minutes, then reconnect. This will erase the codes in the computer that makes the CHECK ENGINE light come on. If everything is okay, the CHECK ENGINE will stay off. Tried exactly that advice on my 2001 Camry....and it worked like a charm!!!
