A 55 Ampere Hour battery is not recommended for your car. The recommended battery is a group 49, with 100AH and proper venting. Other sizes will not fit and incomplete venting is dangerous.
Should not be less than 70 AH Lead -Acid battery , mine is 2.0 litre gas no air con and had 55 ah and always started up and lasted seven years at least. l think the specification is 64 ah, supposed to be that.
