If its the same as the one in my 93 golf its really east once you find out, its kinda hard to explain but... there is a plastic ring/washer looking part between the winder and the door card, if you slide your finger between the winder and door card and push the ring/washer up it slides and releases the winder, there is no special tool or anything!! took me ages to figure it out, but I hope this makes it easier for you.
Hey just went through the same thing, you have to pull of a little metal clip which is located at the base of the winder, its pretty hard to get of and then back on again, but make sure you don't lose it because you cant put the winder back on without it.
The nearside electric window winder doesn't work Are both motors served by the same fuse?
On my 93 clio its under the bonnet inside the little just in front of the window under the plastic cowling, dunno if it is the same for a 97 model tho
should be the same door and yes you should be able to eliminate the vent window as it just bolts in the door, I didn't think a 68 had a vent window.
it can if it is hydraulic it may be an electric motor that works same way as window winder
Hi - I had the same problem (on a Peugeot 205). Take off window winder (screwdriver to prise off) and same for surround around door handle. Take out 2 screws holding armrest. Peel back the door trim from the top. This gives sufficient acces to (just) get your hand to the locking mechanism. Difficult to tell you how to open the door from here as it depends on the problem. However, various jiggling of the parts will probably enable you to free the lock and open it - as I did with mine.
no the door lock and window fuse are seprate.
I have no experience on that particular model but they are usually held in place by a spring-clip. Gently push a broad blade screw-driver between crank and door lining and you should see it. Remove with fine long-nosed pliers. Replace in same way.
I am having the same troubles, have you figured it out yet? I am having the same troubles, have you figured it out yet?
if the door is the same width or smaller about 250-300 labor only
I have a Renault clio 2001 dynamique and it is in the front bumper on the drivers side! not sure if it will be the same on all clio but this helps!!
