I guess it would depend on the persons health.
For a "health" person maybe not.
For an "unhealthy" person maybe so.
To achieve an effective workout on the treadmill, aim for at least 30 minutes of continuous exercise. This duration allows your body to reach the necessary heart rate levels for cardiovascular benefits and calorie burning.
Treadmill
The treadmill would usuallly be cardio exercise (unless you were hardly moving). Any activity that increases your heart and respiration rate is cardio exercise and there are degrees of cardio from very mild to very intense.
The best type of workout for buring fat can involve different types of exercise. What you need to do, whatever your workout choice, is to sustain your target heart rate for 20 minutes, for example, through 20 minutes on a treadmill, exercise bike, jogging or running.
A cardiac stress test is done (usually in a cardiology clinic) through heart simulation. The heart simulation is done through exercise (either a treadmill or a stationary bike). The purpose of this is to get the heart to beat fast and work hard to get the best test results.
Treadmill test- Exercise electrocardiography that is done to determine if the heart is receiving enough blood during exercise; also called cardiac stress test.

about 30 minutes per day
Yes, cardiovascular exercise simply means that you're involved in an activity that raises your heart rate. So running or jogging on a treadmill would be considered a cardio exercise since your heart rate increases.

Most treadmills have a heart rate monitor on them. Try running on a treadmill at your nearest gym. Or you can check your pulse before exercise, then check it after.
