Anaheim has a Hockey team and a Baseball team. Some years ago the Football team that L.A. used to have played in Angel stadium for a few years. The L.A. Clippers played at the Honda Center for a while too. There are talks that Anaheim might get the CLippers or a new expansion team. But not a Football team Sorry.

When Disney bought the team in 1997, they began renovations on Anaheim Stadium with the City of Anaheim contributing $30 million dollars under the agreement that "Anaheim" appear in the team name. Hence the Anaheim Angels were born. In 2005, new owner Arte Moreno changed the name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, in order to tap into the large media market in LA and also coincide with legal agreements with the City of Anaheim.
