NO, America is richier as GDP and GDP per capita. Americans have $48000 of GDP per capita, vs $35000 for Germans. As a whole country America is 10 times richier than Germany with just 4 times Gemany population.

Correction to Mr. Ernesto006: GDP of USA is 16,800 billions USD while Germany GDP is 3,660billions USD. (aprox. value).

Wikipedia sucks, look specialised websites please.

That makes the USA GDP 4,6 times higher than the German one WITH 3,8 times more population AND 27,5 times it surface (and is not Siberia, I´m talking about productive, habitable surface).

So USA is richer, Germany more productive. And btw, Germany has a social welfare by far better than the US one (with the cost that it represents).

I like both, States and Germany, but let´s be precise.
