I couldn't agree with you more, Detective Munch is one of the best characters. But to give the man credit, Richard Belzer is 68 years old and has played Munch since January 1993 (20 years, same character). He has been appearing on TV since 1974 and he is probably taking it as easy as he can while still collecting a paycheck.
