Russia NEVER took over Afghanistan. They fought a war, but eventually they withdrew being unable to win that war. In those times, the Taliban was reigning over the country. Life was according to their laws, exactly like today. You know their policy against women. Strict Islamism. The country was worse than today.
Probably no where. Dubai is located in Saudi Arabia which from my knowledge is a very strict muslim country, so women do not get their belly buttons pierced.
