∙ 13y agoThat depends on what the traveller is looking for. It's like asking if a certain movie is overrated. Everyone looks for something different in a travel destination. Vancouver is clean, huge, multicultural and stunningly gorgeous. It offers just about every sports and leisure activity you could want. Skiing, windsurfing, hiking, world-class dining, theatre, concerts, whale watching, fishing, festivals, and even a legal nude beach. The greater Vancouver area has about 1.5 million people and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and ocean islands. The people (by American standards) are polite. The best time to travel is from May to the end of September. Vancouver gets very little snow in the winter but many days of rain.
