I really doubt it. Buddhists see a great deal of purpose in life and they are not likely to welcome you with open arms if you tell them you can't think of anything better to do. If you feel that you believe in nothing at all you should become a Nihilist, but iin truth if you really see no purpose in living you should see a psychiatrist. I'm not trying to be funny here either, because I can tell you from long experience that the biggest and perhaps most dangerous sign of clinical depression is that you see no sense or purpose in living.

You can arrange to see a psychiatrist without first going to a family doctor. It's not a psychiatrists job to tell you why you should see purpose in living any more than it is mine, but he will diagnose your symptoms and prescribe any of a whole slew of depression medications that will at least ease your worst psychological pain while you sort out your life. If you need help sorting out your life, you could try a therapist. I suggest you go to the home page for Psychology Today where you can do a search for therapists by zip code. The list that you get back will give you a brief biography of the therapist and list their specialty: perhaps you need someone who specializes in talking to people eho have just gone through a divorce, or an abusive relationship, or the death of a loved one, or adolescent issues, ar any one of a couple of dozen specialties.

A Buddhist life is as fulfilling as any. A Buddhist could ask the same question of a Christian - after all, he might muse, the Christians try to live their lives the way they are supposed to but every time they consult their scripture their actions are against some other verse or chapter and in the end they are irrevocably judged for following rules they don't understand. Not to mention that they only get one chance to get it right. We Buddhists get many lives to improve in, each time learning a bit more on how to follow the Eightfold Path. At the end of that we have the option of Nirvana or further service to humankind based on out own hard efforts.

Buddhist people don't actually pray. Praying has something to do with a creator and Buddhism people don't have creator that really inflict with their lives so praying is quite pointless to them. They do more of a praising thing in a temple with loose clothin on.
