Central America is much smaller than Mexico, by almost four times:
Mexico. Mexico is larger than any country in Central America.
Depending on where are you taught geography, Central America is a small area which acts as a bridge between Mexico and South America, and lies within the larger North American subcontinent. That being said, Central America touches Mexico and is within North America. On the other hand, if you refer to "North America" as the United States, Central America borders Mexico, which also borders the United States.
New Mexico is slightly larger than Poland. Arizona is slightly smaller.
Middle America refers to the central region of the United States.* As an area it implies an economy of mostly agricultural, mining, and heavy industry. * As a people it means 'average' or 'regular' people of traditional values and beliefs.Central America refers to the geographic central area of the continents North and South America. Central America is the narrower land bridge between the two continents, from Mexico in the north to Panama in the south.
Central America joins North and South America. Central America is made up of these nations: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. However, in some parts of the world Mexico is thought of as part of Central America. On the other hand, the European Union considers neither Mexico nor Belize part of Central America.
Both act as a land bridge between North and South America, are crisscrossed by the Sierra Madre mountain range and have coasts on both the Pacific and Caribbean Sea. Also, both are the result of the interaction between the North American, Caribbean and Cocos tectonic plates. However, as Mexico is much larger than Central America, it has much more geographical features, including coasts in the Gulf of Mexico, more mountain ranges (Mexico has three of them) and a wider variety of terrains.
Latin America and Peru are not exactly the same thing. Peru is part of the larger geographic area known as Latin America, which encompasses all Spanish speaking countries in the American continent.
From 1650-1810, Mexico was a colony of Spain as part of the larger Viceroyalty of New Spain, which included Cuba, Puerto Rico, Central America as far south as Costa Rica, the southwestern United States, Florida, and the Philippines. This is why there is such a large Spanish influence in all of these countries/regions. It is also why the language of Mexico, Central America, Puerto Rico, and Cuba, is Spanish.
Paraguay is the smaller country, Bolivia somewhat larger.
Antarctica. The USA has a land area of about 9,363,130 sq km. Antarctica is a continent of approximately 14,000,000 sq km.
Mexico is larger
If you take Mexico out of the equation, balance would be positive by about US$ 11.4 billion. This is because trade with Mexico is larger that the trade with the rest of all Latin America combined:US-Central and South America Trade (2012):exports: US$ 183,187.8 millionimports: US$ 171,780.5 millionbalance: US$ 11,407.3 millionUS-Mexico Trade (2012)exports: US$ 215,931.2 millionimports: US$ 277,569.8 millionbalance: US$ -61,638.6 million
