Has anybody driven a Citroen C1 Vibe did you like the clutch?

Our Citroen C1 (June 2007) developed a slipping clutch after only 35000 miles - most of which has been done on motorways, not around town. Having done some research on the Internet, I suspected that this might be a design or manufacturing fault - common to Toyota Aygos and Peugeot 107s as they share the same engine. I took the car into the Citroen garage this week, and told them that I expected the clutch to be replaced under warranty, but they said that this was unlikely as the clutch is only guaranteed for 12000 miles (not the normal 60000/3 year guarantee). I advised them that if the clutch could not be replaced under warranty, I would take this to Trading Standards, as I didn't believe that 35000 miles on one clutch demonstrates "merchantable quality". In the event, the cost of clutch replacement (approx £670) was covered by Citroen and the dealership between them. It's a real shame as aside from the clutch problem, we are very happy with the car.
