Dubai is an extremely safe place to visit.

The police here are more co-operate and not at all partial unlike other Arab countries.

This comes from an expat here in the gulf since more than 10 years.

First of all, Dubai is not actually a country. It is one of seven Emirates within the United Arab Emirates.

Overall, it is a safe place to visit, however, there are certain laws you have to follow which are different from say the UK.

Do not take pictures of airports, docks or important buidlings.

Many people in Dubai follow the Islamic religion, meaning drinking and drugtaking is forbidden. Because of their Islamic beliefs, you must also dress respectably. Bathing suits can be worn on the beach, but that is the limit.

Look into detail and be sure to follow the rules.

Apart from this, Dubai is a fantastic place, and you will be sure to enjoy it!

its one of the safest countries in the world. if you want to go to emirates like sharjah or abu dhabi ,its better to get back home by around 10 pm.but usually theres no need to be scared.but Dubai is one place where you can enjoy at any time of the day.its night cafes and casinos are usually filled with people by 2 am.late night roams are a regular routine here.but i wud recommend you not to take the other emirates other than abu, sharjah or dxb too lightly.however,if you wanna tour uae youre likely to book a hotel at any of the three,so i guess your safe when it comes to touring uae.
