There’s almost no historical precedent for any virus to change its basic mode of transmission so radically. Even viruses that are well adapted to attacking the respiratory system often have a hard time getting transmitted through the airways. Consider the experience so far with avian flu, which is easily transmitted through the air in birds but hasn’t yet mutated to become easily spreadable in that fashion among people. So in one word, no.

Here are some answers written by the community:

  • Ebola is not an airborne disease. It is transmitted through body fluids such as blood and sweat.
  • Ebola is not naturally transmitted through the air, so it is not an airborne disease.
  • It doesn't seem to be transmitted by the air.
  • Yes and no. The species first discovered in Africa (i.e. Ebola Zaire, Ebola Sudan, etc.) have not shown to be airborne. However, during an outbreak in a monkey house in Reston, Virginia, the virus proved to be airborne! So most strains are not, however, the Ebola Reston Virus is in fact airborne. Luckily, Ebola Reston was only lethal to monkeys, and not humans...
  • No. It is only transmitted through body fluids, blood, sexual fluids and sweat.
  • No. It is not airborne.
  • No. Ebola does not spread through the airborne route.

It is not naturally airborne. However health officials and the United Nations have warned that if an Ebola epidemic is not dealt with quickly and kept under control, then there is a chance is could develop into an airborne disease.

No.
It can only be picked up from the bodily fluids of those infected. Such as saliva, vomit and blood.
It has been shown again and again in lab tests that it cannot be transmitted via the air, in water or in food, unless they contain the body fluids of an infected person.

Can dogs get Ebola?

It appears that dogs can be naturally and asymptomatically infected with Ebola virus. During 2001-2002, dogs in Gabon were found to have Ebola virus antibodies. These dogs were tested using antibody assay, antigen detection and viral PCR. While they tested positive to antibodies, no antigens or viral DNA sequences were found, and no virus was able to be isolated from these dogs. There are no scientific reports that show the virus has been isolated from dogs or that it can be directly transmitted by dogs. The Ebola virus is not airborne and can only spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person who is showing symptoms, or who has died.
