No. Credible is a long reach. Credibility comes from substantiated facts and corroboration. Google search engine information is not cleared for its accuracy. Google does little if any quality control of their site for accuracy of information. For example, Google has a review process for merchants which anyone can post negative or positive, unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, false information about that company. If you read a positive or negative review about anything on Google, there is no way for you to know if it is true or not, so therefore the review process is an unknown mathematically speaking, that is, if you can't quantify the validity or value of the source, then it's value is unknown. I would say that Google is an incredible resource which can be a great tool for finding evidence which may lead to credible information.

Google is far from unreliable; it's the number one search engine currently in use.

However, some businesses and groups have taken issue with the way Google chooses to rank its links. The company uses a proprietary formula, which it guards very carefully so as to minimize the possibility of it being exploited; it also revises the formula periodically, which has in the past caused issues with niche companies that rely on being easily found through Google as part of their business plan.

It has also encouraged the formation of a brigade of spam bots, which invade other web pages (wikis, message boards, etc.) in an attempt to drop multiple links to a given site and thus manipulate Google's formula to their programmer's advantage.

The question here is not should your trust Google, but should you trust the websites that it comes up with when you search something up on Google? Google is just a search engine that looks around the World Wide Web looking for websites that have the most information relating to your search term.

I personally have a gmail account and I find that at most times it is very reliable. During peak hours (Weekends and after 5pm) the system can get a little slow but for the most part it is quite good.

Search engine is a reliable source, because it gives all the information and documents that it can give. But search engine doesn't give a specific answer at all, it just give a list of information that are related to the information you need or the answer to what you are searching at all.....

Definitely! I use it everyday. I wouldn't want to use anything else. It's WAAAY faster than IE or Firefox.
