No. Hyperterminal is not present in Vista or Windows 7. There are third party alternatives you may be able to use to accomplish what you need to do.

Windows 7 is considered outdated because newer versions of windows such as as windows 8, windows 8.1 and windows 10 have become available and the upgrade to windows 10 is free for many at the present time. That does not mean that windows 7 is no longer useful or a good thing to have. Windows 7 still works very well,and is still being maintained with security and other updates by Microsoft. Although many have done the free upgrade of windows 7 to windows 10 without any problems, there have been enough cases where an updated machine lost some capability or had other problems that such an update should be considered carefully.
