If they are going to attack, I think 2008 will definitely be the year. There are too many facts the current U.S administration needs to consider... At this time its all bluff and war games and political muscle being tensed.. Also if you compare Iran to Iraq.. there are huge differences as you can see in population and total Area. So attacking Iran is definitely not an easy option.. The current U.S administration is losing popularity twice as fast as any other Middle Eastern or communist country.. So gaining support will be extremely crucial in countering Iran's growing power in the region.. facts speak for themselves.

∙ 13y agoThat is a matter of opinion. Some people think yes because there are terrorists there but you have to think about all the innocent people there being harassed by the terrorists, so I'd have to say no.

∙ 13y agoUnlikely. While they could damage the US, they could not destroy any large part. The US on the other hand could glass Iran without seriously depleting our weapons.
It really comes down to acceptable loss. On 9/11 the US lost a great number of people to a terrible terrorist act. That act did not use weapons of mass destruction. We responded by overthrowing an unfriendly regime and have occupied that country for over seven years.
The response that the people of the US would demand in retaliation for a nuclear/chemical weapon attack would be terrible indeed.
