It was one of the reasons of God revelation of Quran to prophet Muhammad is to drive people to abandon polytheism and henotheism and return back to the right path of monotheism.
That is why Monotheism is the most important teaching of Islam since start of mankind. All prophets; including Noah, Abraham, Ismael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, ..., Jesus, and Muhammad; called to worship the one and only one God. The first Islam pillar, of the 5 Islam pillars, commands Muslim to believe in the oneness of God with no partners or resemblance.
Quran says (meaning English translation):
"say (O Muhammad): He is Allah, the one. Allah the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need (He neither eats nor drinks). he begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none co-equal or comparable to him"
[Quran, chapter 112, verses 1-4]
