Absolutely not! I knew and worked with Larry for almost 30 years.
I booked many shows for him and did lighting and sound on some personal appearances as well as making a few appearances with him on his show with my professional puppets and marrionettes. My Mother and I would often visit with Larry and his Mother at their home in Cinnaminson, N.J., so you can be assured I knew him well. There is no truth to this question!
Surprisingly, there was quite a look-alike characterization of the two, but that's as far as it went. (many people remind you of someone else...that doesn't mean they are related) Larry and I often heard this question and Larry would always cringe at the thought of it!
Larry was a great talent and a wonderful, likeable guy who always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. I never heard him say a bad word about anybody. He is missed much by both myself and his many fans. He passed away from cancer some years back.
