I believe that Lewis Hine was not related to Jane L Hine (the "bird woman of Indiana") or to Horatio Sheldon Hine (my grandfather, or -- same name -- his grandfather). He shared a similarly brilliant career in Photography with Sheldon Horatio Hine (the son of Horatio Sheldon). Sheldon Hine's career can be seen in "75 Years Behind the Lens", published by the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Museum of Art in 1998 to coincide with a retrospective showing of his work. Horatio ("Hod") Hine also worked in photography in the glass-plate negative era, but did not practice it as a profession, although he worked in his son's studio in the 1930s-40s-50s.
Superman's other name is Clark and his girlfriend is Lois. People often misspell Lewis' name as "Lois" so the two teams often get confused. The early 19th c. explorers Lewis and Clark are in no way related or have anything to do with Superman.
Ann Putnam, Abigail Williams, Mercy Lewis, Mary Walcott, Mary Warren and Sussanh Sheldon were accusers. We have no idea what they were like because no one records the personalities of random girls who don't really matter and after the trials, no one wanted to think about those girls.
