Generally speaking Malaysian Airlines is safe for traveling. Due to recent mishaps there are some legitimate concerns about this. The missile that shot down the flight from the Netherlands to Malaysia was not the fault of the airline. The international body that reminds airlines about overflight concerns said that Ukraine was no danger. Now, yes some nations had placed Ukraine as a no fly zone. But not the international one for safety.
The missing flight of Malaysian airlines a few months ago has been a problem inasmuch as the cause nor the location of the crash site has not been found. It has been reported that certain "tracing equipment" was not on board in all Malaysian Airline planes.
This issue needs to be addressed.
