An example would be: Let's say an individual was selling drugs and was given a BCD discharge. It was determined by the evidence he was selling in the last six months of his/her service. If he/she had served three years prior to that, that service is considered honorable. The Veteran needs to apply for benefits for that three year period which is deemed HONORABLE, thus all benefits would apply.
