The University of Arizona (UA) and Arizona State University (ASU) both offer strong undergraduate engineering programs, but the better choice depends on specific engineering disciplines and personal preferences. UA is often noted for its research opportunities and faculty expertise, particularly in areas like aerospace and systems engineering. ASU, on the other hand, has a larger engineering school and is recognized for its innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. It's essential to consider factors such as program rankings, campus culture, and available resources when comparing the two institutions.
communication engineering better than other branches of engineering?
The general tendency is that state universities have pretty much every major, but tend to focus on engineering and science (most of them originally had an agricultural and mechanical focus) and may be slightly weaker on the humanities. This isn't always true, but usually X State University will have better science/engineering programs, and University of X will have better humanities programs. There are some notable exceptions.... for example, the former University of Missouri - Rolla has a first-rate engineering program, much better than any of the regional Missouri State Universities (which is possibly one of the reasons it's been renamed to Missouri University of Science and Technology).
