∙ 12y agoNo it was not. The seven wonders of the world as it is generally thought of, refers to ancient wonders of the Mediterranean rim such as the pyramids at Giza, the colossus of Rhodes, the hanging gardens of Babylon etc...
the recent (2007) effort to name new wonders of the world has been woefully limited. Technology now is such that seven wonders is far too little to recognize even a small sampling of wonders in the world. Sadly Mount Rushmore hasn't made the list, in fact nothing in North America has including true wonders like Mount Rushmore, and the Hoover Dam
