Yes, it yet have to come. There was a so called Decade of Reforms observed in Pakistan. A military decade by Ayub Khan (1958-1968). Some developments were there. One cant say it Golden (where simply, illeteracy rate in1968 was more than 60%, child mortality was among the highest in Asia)

Assuming that Pakistan is continuing down the track of incorporating more Islamist provisions into its governing principles, I can only conclude that Pakistan will not have a Golden Age in the foreseeable future. If Pakistanis return to the vision of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who held that women and men should have civic and legal equality and the minorities should be subject to equal treatment even in a majority-Muslim state, then Pakistanis may have a chance at a Golden Age, but this dream seems less and less likely every day that passes.
