The queen isn't a leader at all, just a figurehead

She is a wonderful monarch. She handled herself brilliantly during WWII and was an inspiration to her subjects. She is widely loved and respected. Of course, she has had difficult periods as anyone would during the course of a long reign, and there are always those who are critical of monarchy in principle.

The monarchs of the United Kingdom have duties that are largely restricted to matters of state in a ceremonial sense. They have very little authority or power over matters of government. Elizabeth could not, for example, decide on her authority as Queen to create or change a law, or impose a new tax. She would not be able to order U.K. troops to or from a front. She opens sessions of Parliament, and formally asks a new Prime Minister to create a government. She signs various legal papers that are presented to her. So her performance as a leader is markedly different from the performance of a government leader.

No.

There has not been a Queen or King of England since 1707.

Queen Elizabeth II is Queen of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

England is part of, but not the same as, The United Kingdom.

She was born in England.

But like many prominent English people, she is of mixed descent.

Her father's family were mostly German, though she had a Danish great-grandmother.

Her mother's family were long-established Scottish landowners, though there has always been a rumour of an illegitimate Jewish link.

No, Queen Elizabeth II is the Queen of the United Kingdom and she is Queen in several Commonwealth countries.

All European countries have their own governement, with their own head of state. That could be either a monarch or a president.

For example, Spain has a king (King Juan Carlos), while France has a President (Nicolas Sarkozy).
