Answer 1: No,

Bimillaah-hir-Rahman-ir-Raheem

The present Quran is an exact copy that was revealed to Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) by Angel Jibraiel (A.S.) from Allah, 1400 years ago.

Today, you can have any copy from any part of the world, that will an exact of replica of what was revealed.

As Allah stated, that Quran is preserved on the Loh-e-Mahfooz, therefore no one on earth can be able to change or modify it.

It is challenged by Allah in several places to the unbelievers to produce a single Surah, which they can't and never be Inshallah.

Answer 2: Yes,

---The Tashkent MSS differs from the modern Egyptian Qur'an in 5 passages: 2:284, 2:283, 3:37, 3:109 and 5:119. The Tashkent MSS uses the word 'Allah' while the modern Egyptian Qur'an, uses the word 'huwa' (the pronoun 'he')

---In the original Quran the letters meem and nun are missing from Surah 7:27

---In the original Quran the letter form for fa or qaf is present in 19:72 where as the letter nun in the modern versions.

---There are two major versions of Quran writing in Hafs and Warsh. These are not arising from different Arabic dialects but are totally different in words. Quran is said to be revealed in one pure Quraysh Arabic. (Reference: "The Value of the Hafs and Warsh transmissions for the Textual History of the Quran" by Adrian Brockett).

a) In the original Quran an alif instead of yaa in the modern versions for 5:99 and b) In the original Quran 7:69 is different from modern versions

Even before the Quran was compiled many verses were lost as testified by Mohammad's best comapanions and his youngest wife Iesha.

---Abu musa forgot what was he reciting and only partly remembered it. He told this to 300 reciters of Quran and this part he knew was not included in Uthman quran showing that quran is not complete.

---Iysha, the youngest wife of Mohamed, testifies that the one with 73 verses had at least 200 verses orginally.

---Umar says about the mention of stoning that is not found in the quran (Sahih Muslim p 912, Mishkat Vol II P. 534) - (This is an abrogated verse, the stoning practice still continues as it was in the original Quran)

---Uthman gave orders that all the copies that contradict from his should be burned (Mishkat Vol III P. 708). This again shows that Quran was changed even before it was compiled.

Yes, Quran is the same as it was originally revealed by God (Allah) to prophet Muhammad through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril). Otherwise, how you explain that:

  • The Quran was recited during the five daily prayers during the life of the prophet in the gathering praying for more than 20 years and loudly without single letter change.
  • Throughout the centuries after prophet death and until now, the same Quran with its same revelation language (Arabic) is recited all over countries of the world without single letter change.
  • There is still only one Quran version worldwide till now.
  • The original Quran copies, that were distributed during the early Islam years in the 7th century, over different parts of the Islamic areas are still available in different world Museums (in Istanbul, London, ...) when compared you don't find single letter difference among them although copied at that time by hand.
  • Quran is the only holy book that is still read and recited in its original revelation language allover the world without single letter change.

Are there any written scriptures about the Islamic religion?

yes, of course. Quran is the holy book that reflects Allah (God in English and same God in Christianity and Judaism) revelations to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the angel Jibril (Gabriel). Was Quran first completed in 653?

The Quran completion date is year 632 AD and not year 653. Quran was completed only once by end of Quran revelation by God. God revelation of Quran, the Muslim holy book, through the Angel Gabriel to prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) started in year 610 AD and continued until year 632 AD (year of prophet Muhammad death). So, the Quran completion date is year 632 AD. It was memorized by heart by many Muslims and recited almost daily during praying in time of the prophet and after till the current moment. this explains why Quran is the only holy book that is still read and recited with the same original (revelation) language without single letter change by millions and millions of Muslims since the seventh century.

The revelation of the Quran to Mohamed by the Angel Jibril?

Answer Prophet Mohamed (peace upon him) was born in Mecca (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in year 570 AD. The first revelation of Quran by God to him was in year 610 by Angel Gabriel (Jibril). Quran revelation continued until death of prophet Mohamed in year 632. The revelation of quran over this long period (around 22 years) allowed Muslims to memorize Quran verses by heart besides writing them down). The Quran chapters and verses were recited and reviewed by prophet Mohamed together with Angel Gabriel once a year (except last year, it was twice). Millions of Muslims in the world are memorizing the Quran (as a whole or in part) and this explains the reason that Quran is the same version every where in the world and at any time with no even one letter difference.(Mohamed may be spelled Mohammed or Mohammad or Muhammad or Muhammed) l
